Simplifying a huge product range: the Selfarma case

When a company has hundreds of technical products, the site's job is to help customers find what they need.

Simplifying a huge product range: the Selfarma case

Since 1998 Selfarma has worked across a very wide range, from vaccines and liquid nitrogen tanks to a breeding bull catalog and farm equipment. With that many products, the real challenge isn't content, it's order.

Start with the customer

Visitors usually know what they're looking for: a vaccine, a tank, a bull. They don't need the whole catalog, they need the right door. We grouped products clearly and built the menu around those groups.

Solutions by species

Sometimes customers know the problem, not the product. So we added a separate path to health solutions by animal species.

What it means for you

The more products you have, the more order matters. A good site doesn't show everything; it shows everyone what they came for.
